Too many accidents, too much danger has brought me to the decision to make E. Alvarado and North Caswell Streets safer for residents, and school kids that walk this area daily to school. I brought the Public Works Director and Senior Engineer to speak to residents and witness the traffic first hand. Within a few days, the speed of 30 MPH is on the street as you enter Towne Ave, and also from San Antonio. The signage is also visible as you drive down the street, giving the motorist notice that people are present. When school begins in August, Public Works will be out again to do a people count of the area, and if all goes well in that study, we will be placing 2 Stop Signs on East Alvarado, making this area a 4 Way Stop. Safety First for Pomona!
